Creating The Upside Down Organization: Transforming Staff to Save Trouble Children
This book provides a practical guide on how to transform the antisocial behavior of emotionally disabled and behavior-disordered children and youth into prosocial behavior. This transformation is facilitated through Transformation Education, an organizational philosophy designed to transform a child’s word-view through changing how the staff, not the children, think and act. This way of thinking is designed to be congruent with the mission of child-serving organizations. This philosophy also employs an understanding of how the brain operates and uses this understanding to create a brain compatible organizational culture built around the whole child. The result is effective service delivery, substantial increases in revenue and cost savings, organizational growth, attraction and retention of talented employees, increased community support and children thrive academically, behaviorally and socially.
